James E. Williams, 81, of Columbus Township, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016.
He was born December 25, 1934 in Romeo to the late Russ and Gladys Williams and lived in Port Huron and Richmond for most of his life.
Jimmy worked for 37 years at W.S.M.A. Radio Station in Marine City. He played country music with his band, Jimmy Williams and the Country Dukes, for over 25 years in the Port Huron area. He was a member of Columbus Baptist Church and Moose Lodge #158.
He is survived by two sons, Kenny Williams and James Williams; three daughters, Terri Ann Black, Lisa Coupe and Vicki Loyd; eight step-children, Randall Foshie, Rusty (Janie) Corry, Sandra Kelley, Debbie (Larry) Donaghy, Shirley (Larry Bark) Hill, Terri (Brian) Solomon, and Barb Pruitt, Tammy (Charles) Silver; 24 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; a brother, Russell O. Williams Jr; and a step-son, Keith Foshie.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
