F. Kenneth "Ken" Stevens

April 14th, 1926 to November 9th, 2016

F. Kenneth “Ken” Stevens, 90, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

He was born April 14, 1926 in Laingsburg, Michigan, to the late Floyd and Edna Stevens. He married Sarah Ann Bolton on March 7, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa. She died March 21, 2013.

Ken worked for Farmer Pete’s for 20 years and then for the Michigan Department of Agriculture as a food inspector for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a devoted Christian who volunteered in Pastoral Care with Port Huron Hospital for 10 years and was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed bicycle riding and woodworking.

He is survived by three children, Wendy Paul, the Rev. Dee Carol Stevens and Eric (Lois) Stevens; four grandchildren, Andrew (Andrea) Paul, David Paul, Sarah Stevens and Thomas Stevens; two great grandchildren Casie and Camden Paul; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou (Dick) Doyle and Coralie Sparks; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Duane Stevens in 1959; and two brothers, Paul and Don Stevens.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. His daughter, the Rev. Dee Carol Stevens, will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.
