James S Warren

James S. Warren, 78, of St. Clair Township, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

He was born October 4, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Thomas and Evelyn Warren. He married Mary Yeager on February 7, 1959 in St. Christopher Catholic Church, Marysville. She died January 9, 2006.

Mr. Warren retired from Grand Trunk Western Railroad. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Pythias and was a longtime 4-H leader. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and golf.

He is survived by three children, Mary (Edward) Taylor, James T. Warren and Shirley Warren; five grandchildren, Dr. Richard Taylor (Devon Sterk), Brittany (Jim) Schocke, Angelina Taylor and Aleigha and Alexander Warren; a great grandchild; Remi Schocke; two sisters, Barbara Warren and Audrey (Bernie) Vandenbossche; a brother, Raymond (Pamela) Warren; a sister-in-law, Julie Warren; three brothers-in-law, Carl Ulrich, John (Dixie) Yeager and Richard (Janet) Yeager; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Marie (Hoyt) Henry, Richard Warren, Betty (Kenneth) Bowers and Bev Ulrich.

A celebration of his life will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the Knights of Columbus - McGivney Banquet Hall in Kimball Township.

Inurnment will be in Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Marysville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clair County Council on Aging, the Knights of Pythias or the River Bend Assisted Living.
