Harold L Hansel

Harold Lawson Hansel, 86, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 11, 2016.

He was born April 3, 1930 in Marine City to the late William and Gladys Hansel.

Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He loved to play cards and his friends and family will always remember him as a card shark.

He is survived by his children, Larry Hansel, Alan Hansel, Kathy (Pat) Lukasak, Wendy Hansel, Harold (Beth) Hansel, Terry (Peter) Ramirez, Bryan (Doreen) Hansel, Patricia Hansel and Kurt Hansel; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald Hansel, Marilyn Bowman, Frank (Patricia) Hansel, Karen (Wally) Styk and Judy Hall; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Florence, Dale, Lloyd, Shirley, Mildred, Carol, Robert, Aubrey and Lawrence.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2016 in Lakeside Cemetery Chapel. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
