Gordon D Ross
Gordon D. Ross, 72, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, December 18, 2016.
He was born March 12, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Evelyn and Archie Ross. He married Sue Ann Jahn on February 10, 1973 in Ross Bible Church.
Gordon worked for the Port Huron Area School District Transportation and Maintenance Department for approximately 35 years and was a licensed master mechanic.
He was a classic car enthusiast, and loved drag racing, car shows and cruising downtown. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling with family and especially loved attending his grandchildren’s events. He was known for helping others, his corny jokes, and fixing cars with his sons, friends and others. Many special memories were also made with his dear friends over coffee and projects.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sue; sons, Christopher (Lynda) Ross and Matthew (Stephanie) Ross; his beloved grandchildren, Caleb, Jarred, Cayla and Kyleigh; brothers, Tom (Ellen) Ross and Bob (Donna) Ross; sister, Betty Hadlock; several nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl W. Jahn; and brothers-in-law, Allen Jahn and Charles “Charlie” Hadlock.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 in Gateway Church, 1234 - 6th Street, Marysville, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Dallas Berry will officiate.
