Gloria J Anderson

Gloria Jean Anderson, 91, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2017.

She was born December 2, 1925 in Port Huron to the late Andrew & Barbara Setter. She married Stewart J. Anderson on November 27, 1943 in Port Huron. He passed away on July 29, 1994.

Gloria worked as the first woman manager at K-Mart for over 19 years before her retirement in 1985. She was an active member of Ross Bible Church for over 68 years. Her life was devoted to church and family. She was very athletic as a young woman and played organized women’s softball for many years.

She is survived by three children, Bonnie (John) Kovach, Jan (Robert) Bower, and Randy (Cindy) Anderson; two sons-in-law, Larry VanBeek and Wayne Goodwine; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Ray (Darlene) Setter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three children, Ellen Goodwine, Cathy VanBeek, and Gary Anderson; a brother, Andrew Setter; and a sister, Margaret Savedra.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Ross Bible Church with visitation starting at 10 a.m. The Reverend Steve Scott will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde.
