Delores Charest

Delores Francis Charest, 88, of Fort Gratiot Township, died Thursday, January 12, 2017.

She was born April 14, 1928 in Detroit to the late Benjamin and Francis Meyers. She married Thomas P. Charest on April 16, 1945 in Detroit. He died December 23, 1969.

Delores was employed with Saffees Restaurant for 18 years and then at The River Crab. She and Tom owned the Charest Drive-In in Marysville in the 1950’s. She loved gardening.

She is survived by her children, Darlene Sayre of Fort Gratiot, David (Terry) Charest of Jeddo, Thomas (Cindy) Charest of Arizona; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Private family services have been held. Burial was in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
