Helen F Westrick

Helen Francis Nowicki-Westrick, 91, of Marysville, died Saturday, February 25, 2017.

She was born December 10, 1925, in St. Clair, to the late Edward and Rose DeRush

Helen was employed at Mercy Hospital for over 22 years. She was past president of the Smiths Creek American Legion Post No. 525 Women’s Auxiliary and the Marysville Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Council No. 9256.

She loved animals, especially her pets, Max and Walker.

She is survived by her children, David (Gert) Nowicki and Thomas Nowicki; her grandson, Kevin Nowicki; two great grandchildren, Talon and Trey Nowicki; two step-grandchildren, Charles (Andrea) Kulman, Jody Kulman and Chad; step-great-grandchildren, Jenna, Mason, Ana, Charles and Andrew; two step-great-great- grandchildren, Jadealyn and Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Lindsey Nowicki; her two husbands, Edward Nowicki and Alvin Westrick; two brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will 2-8 p.m. Monday in Marysville Funeral Home. A scripture service will be held at 6 p.m.

Mrs. Westrick will lie in state at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in St. Christopher Catholic Church, Marysville until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, St. Clair.
