Eleanor J Leslie

Eleanor June Leslie, 84, of Port Huron Township, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

She was born December 18, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Alex and Gladys Allen. She married Floyd Leslie on August 19, 1949 in Port Huron. They had 50 loving years of marriage until his death on April 12, 2000.

Mrs. Leslie was a foster mother for 29 children over a period of ten years. She was a member of Port Huron Assembly of God. She had a great love of music, played the autoharp and enjoyed singing and family jamborees. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed crafts and gardening. She loved camping and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Dave (Linda) Leslie, Steven (Pamela) Leslie and James (Virjean) Leslie; a daughter, Cynthia (Dennis) VanConant; 8 grandchildren and several step grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Allen; two brothers-in-law, Harvey (Janet) Leslie and Victor (Paula) Leslie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lou Cope, Carol Ruck and Florence Carson.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, March 13, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
