Robert Lilley

October 5th, 1923 to March 17th, 2017

Robert Lilley, 93, of Fort Gratiot Township, passed away peacefully at Regency-on-the Lake on Friday, March 17, 2017.

He was born October 5, 1923 in England to the late Andrew and Margaret Lilley.

Bob was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church. He was well known in the Port Huron community demonstrating his talents with his bagpipes as well as being a long-time member of the Windsor Pipe Band. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed his many years aboard the Whitestar, sharing his adventures with many during his travels. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII and during his working career, he was employed as an engineer with Chrysler Corporation and BTM Corporation. He will be sadly missed by many friends.

He is survived by his nieces, Bobbie (Dennis) Hamm, Sandra (David) Kenney, and Wynne (John) Crean; and great nieces and nephews, Crystal, Geri, Shannon, David, Jaclyn, Matthew, Adrien, Jocelyn and Mateo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Winifred (Dave) Elliott.

Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A military tribute will be conducted by the Royal Canadian Legion at 3:30 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in First Presbyterian Church with visitation from 10:00 am. Reverend Kelly Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
