Mamie L Fenner
Mamie Lucille Fenner, 95, of Kimball Township, went quietly home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Covington, Georgia.
She was born January 12, 1922 in Port Huron to the late Claude and Ella Bailey. She married Alfred H. Fenner on May 30, 1937 in Port Huron. He died October 4, 2006.
Mrs. Fenner owned and operated an adult foster care home and cared for many people over the years. She enjoyed playing the organ.
She is survived by a son, Alfred (Patricia) Fenner Jr. of Florida; five daughters, Eleanor (Brian) Burkett of Florida, Claudia (Paul) Smith of Marysville, Nancy (Ed) Sanders of Georgia, Denise (Chuck) Weaver of Port Huron and Shelley (Gary) Morin of Georgia; 26 grandchildren; over 50 great and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Edith and Wendell Harrison; and seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, which would have been Mamie and Alfred’s 80th wedding anniversary.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in The River Church. The Reverend Bill Wahl and the Reverend David Weaver will officiate.
Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Mamie’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Hospice.
