Dale C. Bubel, 86 of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord and his wife and best friend, Betty, on Friday, July 7, 2017.
He was born February 6, 1931 in Port Huron to the late Harry and Pauline Bubel. He married Betty J. Stempel on February 20, 1954 in North Street. She died December 8, 2010.
Mr. Bubel was employed with the City of Port Huron Fire Department, retiring on December 30, 1987 after 25 years of service. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and enjoyed gardening and bowling.
He is survived by three children, Bonnie (John) Degel, Richard (Doris) Grabowski and Jerry Bubel; five grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; three siblings, Wanda (John) Conklin, Betty (Robert “Bob”) Storey and Connie Jager; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Doan and Rosalie Flint.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Scott Doan, his nephew, will officiate.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Fargo. Pallbearers will be Brett Nichols, Chad, Gavin and Aiden Miles, Dale Stempel and Matt Walters. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
