Lawrence "Larry" Stevens

Lawrence K. “Larry” Stevens, 82, of Marysville died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at home surrounded by family.

He was born November 24, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Lawrence and Evelyn Stevens. He married Jean Parniske on July 14, 1962 in Marysville. She passed away on October 26, 1996.

Mr. Stevens worked as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years with DTE Energy. He served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed woodworking and was known as the “toy maker”. He loved spending time surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by two children, Kelly (Don) Pelton and Robert Stevens; grandchildren,

Zac and Abby Pelton; loving companion, Sue Sagins; brother, Jim (Patty) Burnell; sisters, Gayle (Fred) Herber and Mary Lou (Bud) Eastman; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Robert Boyd.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Eric Johnson of Swartz Creek will officiate.
