Viola M Odle

Viola Margurite Odle, 90, of Burtchville, died peacefully Tuesday, August 22, 2017 with her family by her side.

She was born February 15, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Fred and Margurite Putze. She married Robert Odle on May 9, 1945 in Avoca. He died December 21, 2009.

Mrs. Odle was a lunch lady at Central Middle School for ten years. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed roller skating. She and Robert enjoyed bowling and traveling to Nashville and Florida, where they lived for seven years.

She is survived by five children, Karen (Richard) Goodmen, Barbara (John) Hlavaty, Robert (Kim) Odle Jr., Kevin (Cheryl) Odle and Dawn (Carl) Laesser; a nephew dear to her heart, Brian (Kim) Alexander; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; three siblings, Dorothy Alexander, Marie Odle and Wilfred Putze; a very special friend, Betty Dutten; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Prevost; and three siblings, Alfred Putze, Fred Putze and Valerie Mancevich; and two grandchildren, Debbie Parker and Jeanette Wehrwein.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Inurnment will follow in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
