Jean M McClelland

Jean Marie McClelland, 86, of Marysville, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

She was born May 4, 1931 in Grand Rapids to the late Roy and Fannie Alexander. She married Clinton McClelland on July 2, 1948 in Sandusky. He died April 12, 1983.

Mrs. McClelland was very artistic and did calligraphy for schools and the church. She was a very active member of Marysville United Methodist Church. She started the children’s story at her church and loved being in the choir. She also loved crafts and was a foster parent for many years.

She is survived by three children, Ellen Westrick, Wayne McClelland and Alice (Brad) Hool; four grandchildren, Travis and Elizabeth McClelland, Brandon and Kylie Hool; two great grandchildren, Oliver Reilly-Hool and Dorian Ndlovu. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Phillip Roy McClelland; a son-in-law, John Westrick; and a brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Wilma Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Marysville United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Barbara Welbaum will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
