Richard Reardon

Richard Patrick “Pat” Reardon, 84, of Port Huron, died Thursday, October 19, 2017.

He was born June 27, 1933 in Detroit. He married his first wife, Eileen Siemen on April 29, 1956 in Port Huron.

Mr. Reardon joined the Navy on January 1, 1953 and served three years aboard the USS Aucilla. Upon leaving the military, he started working as a pipefitter and was a proud member of Plumbers Local 98, retiring after 39 years. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Eileen, moved to Alger, Michigan, until her death in April 1997.

Pat married Kathy Barrett of Alger on January 22, 2000. They spent the next 17 years living in Alger until their move to Port Huron in August of 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons, Michael (Gail) Reardon of Macomb Township, James (Christina) Reardon of Marysville and Dave (Veronica) Reardon of Sterling Heights; his daughter, Colleen (Jim) Sigmund of St. Clair Shores; seven grandchildren, Chris, Beth, Megan, Ethan, Nathan, Hannah and Mallory; five great grandchildren; a sister, Josie Bogan; numerous nieces and nephews; stepsons, Jim Schultz of West Branch, Don (Brenda) Schultz of Marysville and Chris (Carla) Schultz of Fort Gratiot; step daughter, Denise (John) Gordon of Port Huron; and nine step grandchildren, Mallory, Breanna, Ethan, Collin, Evan, Allison, Sarah, Alex and Rob.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Reardon; his mother, Helen Reardon; and a brother, Jerry Reardon.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Barbara Welbaum will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
