Gary E Koreiba

August 19th, 1941 to November 12th, 2017

Gary Edgar Koreiba, 76, of Fort Gratiot, went home to Heaven on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

He was born August 19, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Evelyn and Michael Koreiba. He married the love of his life, Sandra Shover, in 1961 and they spent 56 blessed years together. They truly lived out “til death do us part.”

In the early 70s, Gary, along with his brother and their wives, opened the Blue Water Bible & Book Store. He retired from the Detroit Edison St. Clair Power Plant. Gary dearly loved his family, friends, home and his John Deere tractor. But most importantly, he loved Jesus and was a member of Lakeport Wesleyan Church.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Maralee (Dennis) Smith; son, Gary Lee (Kim) Koreiba; grandchildren, Aaron (Brittany) Smith, AnnaLee (Nicholas) Traeger, Gary Lee Koreiba II and Alexander Koreiba. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Antonia Koreiba and Bonnie (Rev. Jerry) Spring; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Troy, step-father, John J. Troy; brother, Michael; and in-laws, Elsie and Glenn Shover.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Lakeport Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Drew Mills will officiate.

Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Smith, Nicholas Traeger, Gary Lee Koreiba II, Alexander Koreiba, Gary Lee Koreiba, Dennis Smith, Michael Koreiba and Jeremy Spring.
