J. Roger Dalton
John Roger Dalton, 80, of Marysville, died Monday, November 13, 2017.
He was born October 7, 1937 in York, England to the late Stanley and Florence Dalton. He married Jackie Porrett on September 7, 1997 in Port Huron.
Roger’s employment brought him from the U.K. to Canada in the 1970s to work as a trouble shooter for power plants. He retired in 1997 and then lived in Florida for 15 years before moving to Michigan. Roger was a member of the Shriner’s, Mason’s, Moose Lodge, Canadian Legion and Am Vets. He enjoyed camping and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; two daughters, Sally (Paul) Hattee and Emma (Jamie) Fowlet; stepchildren, Frank (Karen) Porrett, Sandra (Enrique) Suarez, Cheryl (Ernie) Baunoch and Christine (Tom) Emeigh; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Dalton.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Joseph DeHass will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
