Harry Esdon Neal Jr., 84, of Marysville, died Saturday, November 25, 2017.
He was born August 13, 1933 in Smiths Creek to the late Cecil Faye and Harry Neal Sr. He married Muriel “Susie” Emerick on October 22, 1955 in Port Huron.
Mr. Neal was a St. Clair County Sheriff Deputy and later an electrician with IBEW Local #58. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After retiring, he spent half the year in Arizona and half in Michigan. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion J. Edward Mallorey Post #449, and Moose Lodge #158. He loved deer hunting at the 400 Club in Cummins, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Muriel “Susie” Neal; a daughter, Kimberly (Tom) Miller; two grandchildren, Lisa (Dennis) Shannon and Jessica (Jerry) Tuffin; great-grandchildren, Kailey & Drew Shannon and Hunter Tuffin; two sisters, Arlene (Leon) Keyes and Kay (Joe) Barbe; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Esdon Neal III; and siblings, Ruth (Frank) LaTurno, Audrey (Virgil) French, Donna (Jack) Barres, Ross (Sylvia) Neal, Alfred (Mildred) Neal and Ted (Faye) Neal.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Madson will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
