Jay "Vinnie" Stover

Jay “Vinnie” Stover, 60, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born March 30, 1957 in Port Huron to the late John J. Stover and Barbara Miller. He married Sherri Gamble on August 20, 1977 in Port Huron.

Vernon was employed as a welder at Ontario Die International and also tended bar at Skidgie’s Bar. He loved riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed golfing, playing baseball, and ice racing motorcycles with his son, John.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sherri Stover; his son, John (Amy) Stover; his granddaughter, Ella Stover; his brother, Craig (Tanya) Stover; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and many loving and caring friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.
