Dale Jurk
Dale Martin Jurk, 72, of Port Huron, died Friday, December 22, 2017.
He was born January 16, 1945 in Flint to the late Henry and Annabelle Jurk. He married Judy Menerey on June 17, 1967 in Port Huron.
Mr. Jurk was self-employed as a furniture maker. He was a 1963 graduate of Port Huron High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Griswold Street Baptist Church and Port Huron Police - Volunteers in Policing (VIPs).
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy; two children, Lt Col (Ret) David (Dr. Melissa) Jurk and Wendy (Chris) Collins; six grandchildren, Dakota and Dalton Collins and Ethan, Evan, Emily and Eli Jurk; a great granddaughter, Clara Parker; and three siblings, Elizabeth (Jack) Mazure, Stan (Gail) Jurk and Teena (Michael) Kay; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Jurk.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Griswold Street Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Timothy North will officiate.
Inurnment will take place in the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium. Military honors will be held under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force.
