William L. Bell
William L. “Bill” Bell, 83, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, February 9, 2018.
He was born February 10, 1934 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to the late Andrew and Annie Bell. He married Elizabeth A. Campbell on February 20, 1960 at Mt. Hope Methodist Church in Detroit.
Bill’s career was in banking and he served in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member and volunteer at First United Methodist Church. Bill was a car enthusiast and enjoyed watching car races, a love that he passed on to his son. He was also an avid Detroit sports fan, especially fond of the Tigers.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; two children, Douglas (Liliana) Bell and Sandra (Brad) Ennest; and two grandchildren, William Ennest and Alexandrea Bell. He was preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack” Bell.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in First United Methodist Church, Port Huron. The Reverend LuAnn Rourke will officiate.
Inurnment will take place in the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Columbarium. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
