Timothy W DeVoogd

Timothy Wayne DeVoogd, 66, of Washington Township, died Monday, February 19, 2018.

He was born August 18, 1951 in Sanilac Township to Thelma and the late John DeVoogd. He married Sandra Willis on February 16, 1974 in Carsonville.

Tim was a machine builder in the Tool and Die Industry prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, NHRA drag racing, hunting, fishing, working on projects with his son and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Stephanie (Gregg Jr.) Masters and David (Kristen) DeVoogd; grandchildren, Arianna Masters and Brooklyn DeVoogd; mother, Thelma DeVoogd; sister, Christine (Dennis) Hatfield; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane Willis, Lowell (Molly) Willis, Steven Willis, Donna (Mike) Campbell and Patricia Willis; many nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Marie Cole.

A memorial gathering will be held this summer.

Memorials may be made to Sandy who will disperse them to several projects in memory of Tim.
