Edith C Riebandt

Edith Clara Riebandt, 104, of Port Huron, died Thursday, April 5, 2018.

She was born December 28, 1913 in Port Huron to the late Herman and Clara Bender. She married Willard Riebandt on November 30, 1940 in Port Huron. He died on February 10, 1987.

Mrs. Riebandt loved to dance, listen to music and play the organ. She was an avid Tiger fan. She attributed her longevity to good chocolate and dancing.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Balla; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Riebandt; six grandchildren, Lori (Jeffrey) Thueme, Lisa Heilig, Tammie (Matthew) Monette, Michael (Laura) Riebandt, Jeffrey Riebandt and Cynthia (William) Smith; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, William Riebandt; and a son-in-law, Larry Balla.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. The Rev. Hollis Chandler will officiate.
