Roger A. Adolph

September 23rd, 1932 to April 6th, 2018

Roger Arnold Adolph, 85, of Smiths Creek, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 6, 2018.

He was born September 23, 1932 in Fremont, Michigan to the late Adolphus and Bernice Adolph. He married Lucille Ramsey on October 8, 1955 in Smiths Creek.

Roger proudly served in the United States Army in Alaska. While in the service, he drew all the maps and cut everyone’s hair in the service for 50 cents. With the money he made doing haircuts, he was able to buy his first car when he got out of the service.

He was employed at St. Clair Rubber Company for 30 years and then worked for Port Huron Hospital for 10 years. He attended Columbus Bible Church, coached Little League baseball and was a handyman around the house, always adding on.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; his two sons, Steven A. Adolph of Port Huron and Duane T. (Tina) Adolph of Warren; nine grandchildren, Tina (Jack) Gordon, Jennifer (Joshua) Smith, Paul Adolph, Christy Powell, Corey Ripley, Katie (Joseph) Blake, Stephanie Adolph, Ashlee (Mark) Wilcox and Andrew Adolph; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois VanBuskirk and Edna Graham; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Paul and Rodger Adolph.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Woody Nelson will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Ted Forstner, Gerald Ramsey, Andrew and Duane Adolph, Mark Wilcox and Joseph Blake

Memorials may be made to Columbus Bible Church.
