Obituary

Virginia Anne Smith, 60, of Clyde Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018 with her sister, Becky, and brother-in-law, Joe, by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born January 9, 1958 in Port Huron to the late Austin and Betty (Loxton) Smith.

Virginia attended Woodland Developmental Center in Marysville, Happiness House in Sarasota, Florida, and most recently Community Enterprises of St. Clair County. She enjoyed working in the shredding department at CESCC where she was so proud to earn her paycheck, often waving it in the air saying, “I buy anything I want!”

She is survived by her sister, Becky (Joe) Fleming; four brothers, Thomas Smith of Branson, Missouri, Stewart (Sharon) Smith of Smiths Creek, John Smith of Kimball and James (Fran) Smith of Fort Gratiot; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who adored her. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Terrance Sr., David Sr. and Ralph Sr.; and three sisters-in-law, Carmen, Wilma and Cora “Corky”.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe DeHass will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
