Bonnie J Blomquist
Bonnie Jean Blomquist, 76, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in The Villages, Florida.
She was born December 23, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George and Anita Groos. She married Harlan Blomquist on July 26, 1969 in Dearborn, Michigan.
Bonnie earned a bachelor's and master's degree from Michigan State University and was a speech therapist with the Port Huron Area School District. She was past president of the Blue Water Garden Club and Port Huron Jaycettes and a member of the AAUW, Port Huron Town Hall, Port Huron Yacht Club and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harlan; two sons, Eric (Melissa) Blomquist and Todd (Caitlin) Blomquist; three granddaughters, Alexandra, Ava and Elizabeth; a brother, Robert (Karen) Groos; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home in Port Huron.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Port Huron. The Rev. Jason Pittman will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Foundation of St. Clair County or the First Presbyterian Church of Port Huron.
