Thomas J Nightingale

Thomas John Nightingale, 59, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

He was born March 6, 1959 in Pennsylvania and was raised by a beloved aunt, Alice Gorris Petrie and her late husband, Albert.

Tom had an M.A. in Business from Walsh College and had worked as an engineer at T.I. Automotive. He was currently employed by Blue Water Area Transit. Tom was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Huron and the Knights of Columbus Fr. William F. Welch Council #11756.

He is survived by two daughters, Madison Lynn and Jamison Lynn Nightingale; his aunt, Alice Gorris Petrie, and her son, Chuck Petrie, and son-in-law, Dave Dixon; and his siblings, Jimmy, Mary, Rose, Billy, and Judy Nightingale. He was preceded in death by his cousins, Susan Merscher, Nancy Dixon, and Alberta McLaughlin.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 1505 Ballentine St., Port Huron, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m.
