Jette Dell

Jette Dell, 58, of Fort Gratiot, died after a battle with cancer Monday, June 9, 2025.

She was born August 20, 1966 in Gentofte, Denmark to Jørgen and the late Ester Knudsen. She married David Dell on December 16, 1995 at the Port Huron Museum.

Jette graduated from high school in Denmark at the age of 16. Following graduation, she worked as a nanny in England for three years, Calgary, Alberta for five years and then Thornhill and Moorestown, Canada where she met David. Jette became a U.S. citizen in 2007. She was employed at Chrysler for 27 years, retiring in 2024. Jette was a wonderful caretaker, especially to David’s father Robert Dell. She enjoyed traveling especially to Alaska to visit her daughter and Europe to visit her family. Her latest passion is traveling by train.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, David; daughter, Amelia (Hunter) Sheffer; father, Jørgen Knudsen; brother, Jan (Dorte) Knudsen; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Ester Knudsen, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Else Rasmussen.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate.
