Mary F Farrer

Mary Frances Farrer, 95, of Marysville, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She was born December 27, 1922 in Albee Township to the late Joseph and Mary Hija. She married Leonard “Jack” Farrer on November 20, 1943 in St. Clair and they were married 66 years. He died on November 25, 2009.

Mrs. Farrer was a charter member and past president of the Marysville American Legion Post 449 Auxiliary and a longtime active member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and their Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening and canning.

She is survived by three children, Larry (Pamela) Farrer, William “Bill” (Linda) Farrer and Deborah (Don) Czarnecki, all of Marysville; five grandchildren, Julie (Henry) Sobkowski, Jefferson Farrer, Amy (Greg) Maryon, Donald (Tamara) Czarnecki and Mary Ann (Alan) Howard; and 13 great grandchildren, Lindsey Sobkowski, Ashlyn, Collin, Lauren, Evan, Jadyn, Brooklyn, Autumn, Jentzen, Madeline, and Stephen Maryon, and Sidney and Lucas Howard.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jean Farrer; and 8 siblings, Anna, Joe, Tony, John, Frank, Margaret, Josephine, and Helen.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Farrer will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Rev. James Arwady will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
