Paul B Muir
Paul Belyea Muir, 80, of Ruby, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on April 26, 1938 in Port Huron to James Findley Muir and Margaret Belyea Muir. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1956 and furthered his education by completing several courses at SC4. He met his wife, Peggy, in 1959 while he was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Mountain Home, Idaho. They were married in Winnemucca, Nevada, on August 17, 1959 and live in Boise, Idaho until they moved back to Port Huron in October, 1960.
He worked at several different positions in production factories over his work life and finished his career as a production manager at Eldon Extrusions (later known as Unibond). He served on several boards at the First Congregational Church and was a prior trustee in Clyde Township. During his free time, he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by the loves of his life, his wife, Peggy Ann; daughters, Sherrie Renee (Wayne) Ingles and Shelly Ann (William) Miller; grandchildren, Andrena Renee (Michael) Hamlin, Aaron Paul (Kayla) Taylor, Amber Lynne Taylor, Robert William Miller, Wayne (Luella) Ingles and Kenneth Ingles; great grandchildren, Jacob and Conner Hamlin, Damon and Desmin Wright, Cali, Jaxson and Shyanne Taylor, Evan Miller and Harvey Ingles; sisters, Laurena Schwem and Margaret Ann (Leo) Johnston; brother, Donald (Connie) Muir; and his “always on call” nephew, Greg Muir. Also surviving are his dear brother and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Kris) Hepworth, Kathleen (Hal) Rogers and Linda (John) Sauer; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James W. Muir; grandson, Matthew J. Wright; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Florence Hepworth; and sister-in-law, Robyn (Jack) Bullock.
A private memorial service will be held.
