Janet L Liebert

Janet L. Liebert, 76, of Port Huron, passed away June 22, 2018 in McLaren Port Huron.

Janet was born September 29, 1941 in Laconia, New Hampshire to the late Richard and Evelyn MacKay. She moved to Port Huron, Michigan in 1953. Janet married Gerald “Jerry” Liebert in 1961.

Janet did childcare out of her home for many years and was affectionately called “Aunt Jan” by many of the children she took care of. In her later years, she worked for Ron Lendzion in his Port Huron store.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the summer cookouts. She was a talented lady that spent many years making ceramics, knitting and sewing for family and friends.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Serena Lowman; her granddaughter, Olivia MacKay Lowman; her brothers, Stephen (Mary) MacKay and Paul (Chris) MacKay; her sister-in-law, Cindy Knight; her niece, Catherine Mills; and nephews, Jeff and Jason MacKay. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David; her husband, Jerry; and grandson, Richard “RJ” Lowman.

At Janet’s request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
