Joyce I Monteith

Joyce Irene Monteith, 96, of Port Huron went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

She was born September 12, 1921 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Florence Jay. She married the love of her life, Thomas Monteith on October 15, 1939 in Toledo, OH. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1982.

Mrs. Monteith was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Woman’s Association and the Sarah Circle. She was a past Worthy Matron and long-time secretary of Mystic Chapter #58 O.E.S. Joyce served as the past president of the Port Huron Musicale. She was a past president and recipient of the Valiant Woman Award in 1986 from Church Woman United. Joyce enjoyed Port Huron Town Hall and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet (Ralph) Bopra; granddaughter, Deby (Joey) Deno; 3 great grandchildren, Joseph (Emily) Deno, James Deno and Jocelyn Deno; 5 great-great grandchildren, Logan, Cohen, Bailey, Presley and James Deno.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 in First Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Jason Pittman will officiate.

Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Blue Water Hospice.
