Idamae A Isaacson

January 11th, 1939 to July 6th, 2018

Idamae Ann Isaacson, 79, of Port Huron Township, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2018.

She was born January 11, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Howard and Helen Kyser. She married Leonard Isaacson on August 16, 1963 in Grand Rapids.

Mrs. Isaacson received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Calvin College and taught for a number of years. She was a member of Griswold Street Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, played the piano and taught Sunday School. She served on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship and was active at the Port Huron Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leonard; three children, Timothy (Rosemarie) Isaacson, Beth (Stephen) Kabamba and Laura (William) Baillod; 14 grandchildren, Sarah, Samuel, Silas and Savannah Isaacson, Robert (Winfridah), Martin (Mercy), Fiona, Deborah, Emmanuel and Chongo Kabamba, and Michael, Taylor, Sean and Kian Baillod; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Howard (Shirley) Kyser and Russ (Donna) Kyser; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Griswold Street Baptist Church. Pastor Tim North will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
