Pasqualino "Patsy" Ruvolo
Our beloved Pasqualino “Patsy” Ruvolo passed away on July 27, 2018. He was born in Queens, New York, to Josephine and Giuseppe “Joseph” Ruvolo on January 22, 1930. He was one of four brothers.
Patsy was a math genius and football star at John Adams High in Cleveland. He earned a scholarship to Kent State. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He met Shirley Kilok at a dance and they were married October 6, 1951. They were married 66 years.
Patsy was a retired salesman, amateur animal rights activist, and Dean Martin enthusiast. He could serenade even the coldest of hearts. He was an exceptional golfer with shelves full of trophies. He was a devout Catholic and was a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He laughed at his own jokes before reaching the punchline. He was passionate about bingo and his dogs.
Patsy could enter a room of 20 strangers and leave with 20 new friends. There was no one quite like him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Patsy was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Joseph, and his brother Anthony.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ruvolo; two daughters, Linda (Jeff) Rader and Debbie Dotson; a son, Patrick (Missy) Ruvolo; two brothers, Sam (Lois) Ruvolo and Jack (Marilyn) Ruvolo; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, 1720 Elk Street, Port Huron, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Deacon Tim Maxwell will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy.
Inurnment will be in Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.
