Edward A Schreiner
Edward Arthur Schreiner, 92, of Marysville, died Saturday, July 28, 2018.
He was born July 25, 1926 in Royal Oak to the late George F. and Agnes M. Schreiner. He married Earlene J. McDonald on October 2, 1948 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Royal Oak.
Edward served with the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class aboard the destroyer USS Lyman K. Swenson. He retired as Vice President of Star Oil Company in 1991 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Earlene J. Schreiner; three daughters, Sheryl B. (Thomas) Smith, Linda M. (Michael) Schultz, and Donna S. (Troy) Aldea; six grandchildren, Trisha (Matt) Bailey, Michael (Erica) Smith, Robert (Stephanie) Schultz, Thomas Schultz, Bradley and William Davies; and five great grandchildren, Rachel and Lucas Bailey, Alexander and Justin Smith and Edward Schultz. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Howard Schreiner.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Faith Lutheran Church, Port Huron with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Mark Huff will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy. Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Matt Bailey, Brad Davies, Bill Davies, Robert Schultz and Thomas Schultz.
