Betty J Cunningham

Betty J. Cunningham has passed away at the age of 88. She was born on October 10, 1929 in Flandreau, South Dakota.

She entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, where she will be reunited with her husband David Cunningham, who preceded her in death in 1999. Betty and Dave were married for 42 years. Each of them was the other’s best friend, companion and love of their life. They lived in Westland, Harsens Island and retired to Marysville, MI.

Betty never failed to endear those around her with her independence and her intelligence. She joined the General Electric Lamp Division in 1947 and retired after 42 years of service. Betty was an avid knitter and book reader. She read the newspaper every morning and completed the crossword puzzle. She followed local and world news and could speak to any topic.

Betty loved the Great Lakes and the St. Clair River. She had a vast knowledge and interest of ships. She and Dave spent many happy years on the water.

A good heart has stopped beating.

A good soul has ascended to heaven.

Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
