Betty May Basnaw

Betty May Basnaw, 87, of Clyde Township, died Thursday September 27, 2018.

She was born August 25, 1931 in Port Huron to the late Bruce and Nellie Churchill. She married Leon Basnaw Sr. on November 27, 1947 in Port Huron. He died October 21, 2015.

Mrs. Basnaw worked for Vlasic Foods for 35 years, retiring as a plant supervisor. She was a longtime member of The River Church.

She is survived by seven sons, Leon (Peggy) Basnaw Jr., Dennis W. (Barbara) Basnaw, John (Loretta) Basnaw, Donald Basnaw, Philip (Linda) Basnaw, Douglas (Debbie) Basnaw and Roger (Shirley) Basnaw; two daughters, Linda (Andy) Smith and Karen (Donna) Basnaw; many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons, Alan, Kevin and Jeffrey Basnaw; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Basnaw; and six siblings.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 in The River Church. Pastor Bill Forbes will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
