Robert Corwin Wilton, 77, of Marysville, died Saturday, September 29, 2018.
He was born August 28, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Walter and Catherine Wilton. He married Anne Marie McDonald on May 21, 1977 in Port Huron.
Robert graduated from Port Huron High School and was employed with DTE Energy until his retirement. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an elder, deacon and sang in the choir. Robert loved music and played the saxophone and clarinet. He performed in the 1950’s with the band Davey Mac and the Bobcats, and more recently, the New Horizons Band. Most of all, he was very proud of his sons and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anne; sons, Jeff (Denise) Wilton, Todd Wilton, Scott (Teresa) Graham, Daryl (Denise) Wilton, and Bryan (Sandy) Wilton; eleven grandchildren, Amber (Kevin) Weidenbach, Kelly (Jon) Greenfelder, Scott A. Graham, Amanda (John Michael) Hoffman, Nicholas and Mekenzie Graham, Evan, Ashley, Austin, Brooklynn and Hannah Wilton; sister, Margaret Jones; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Torrey and Patricia Collinge; and his infant brother, Sonny Wilton.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 4, 2018 in First Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Jason Pittman will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium.
