Obituary

Shirley Ann Greif Ross Phillips, 84, of Port Huron, went to be with her Lord peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 surrounded by her family in the Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville.

Shirley was born June 22, 1934 in Detroit to Charles and Marie (McDonald) Greif. She was baptized at St. Francis de Sales and graduated from Immaculata High School in 1953. Her yearbook was signed by those commenting about her beautiful voice. In high school Shirley sang on the Chuck Stanley Happy Hour on television. She loved the Detroit Red Wings and the Tigers.

She married James John Ross in Detroit on February 6, 1954. James worked at the Fisher Body after graduating high school and honorably serving his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. James preceded Shirley in death on October 17, 1968. On June 28, 1976, Shirley married C.B. Phillips. C.B. preceded her in death on May 8, 2016.

Shirley is survived by four children, Susan (Marcelino) Frausto, Jay Ross (& friend Kristina), Sheryl (Donald) Reid and Michael (Amanda) Phillips; step-children, Dan Phillips, Judy (Mark) Paruszkiewicz and Julia Phillips; grandchildren, Matthew, Bonnie, Laura, James, Tery, Ryan, Jennifer, Angela and Steven; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Judith Thrush; and a step-son, Stanley Phillips.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Phillips will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Very Reverend Salvatore Palazzolo, KSH will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Mark Paruszkiewicz, Don Reid, James Ross, Tery Ross, Ryan Reid and Aaron Krohn.
