Donald Gordon West, 91, of Kimball Township, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

He was born August 11, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Stanley and Fayetta West. He married Vivian Matthews on January 9, 1988 in Port Huron.

Mr. West was employed with Canadian National Railroad and after retiring, he owned and operated Skogmos Store in Lewiston for 10 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Donald attended First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling, golf, reading, puzzles and being outdoors. He also liked watching planes at the airport.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; four children, Scott (Susan) Matthews, Susan (Joseph) Malfait, Kim (Debra) Matthews and Marcia (Steven) Holdburg; eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen J. West; and his grandmother who raised him, Ethel Cook.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. The Rev. Jason Pittman will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted under the auspice of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
