David S Wolven
David S. Wolven, 79, of Marysville, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
He was born January 24, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Stanley and Thelma Wolven. He married Joyce Brown on September 5, 1993 in Algonac.
David was employed as a chef at many area restaurants during his career. He served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed watching baseball and hockey. Dave was a longtime volunteer with Port Huron Minor Hockey Association, International Silver Stick Tournament and high school hockey in the area.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; two children, Denise (Larry) Hyde and Jim (Abbey) Brown; five grandchildren, Jonathon (Kelly) Crerar, Courtney, Madison and Carson Brown and Kyle Hyde; one great granddaughter, Claire; a sister, Diane (Jerry) Beedon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Eric Miller will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
