Evelyn J Edwards
Evelyn Jean Edwards, 85, of Clyde Township, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
She was born July 14, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Frederick and Elsie Campbell. She married Evan Edwards on December 3, 1955 in Port Huron and they were married for 56 years. He died March 14, 2012.
Mrs. Edwards was a lifelong member and organist at St. Martin Lutheran Church. She was a founding member of the Wales Historical Society, a member of the Ruby Lioness Club, Red Hats, WELCA, VFW Women’s Auxiliary and founder and leader of the Angel Quartet.
She is survived by three children, Debra (Mike) McGriff, Kirk (Vicki) Edwards and Jo Ellen “Josie” Edwards; four grandchildren, Kevin Edwards, Charles (Crystal) McGriff, Chelsie McGriff and Justin (Trisha) Edwards; two great grandchildren, Lorelai and Lydia Edwards; four siblings, Fred (Catherine) Campbell, Elizabeth Fuller, Margaret Cawood and Arlene (Ken) Lee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Eveningred; four brothers-in-law, Fred Eveningred, Donald Hartlein, Roy Fuller and Robert Cawood; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Campbell.
Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in St. Martin Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Bonnie Klos will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
