Harry A "Bud" Hartman
Harry Alwood “Bud” Hartman, 91, of Kimball Township, died Thursday, November 8, 2018.
He was born July 9, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Henry and Elizabeth Hartman. He married Wava Lester on December 7, 1946 in Port Huron.
Mr. Hartman was employed with Prestolite Wire Company for nearly 40 years, working as a laborer, then foreman and retiring as a supervisor. He served in the U.S. Navy and the Naval Reserves. He was known as “the quiet man” and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Wava; a daughter, Mary Ann (William) Steele; a son, David (Debra) Hartman; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Hartman; four grandchildren, William (Traci) Steele Jr., Michael (Lynda) Hartman, Julie Hashley and Cassia (John) Bishop; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Martin (Janet) Hartman and Bryan (Olive) Hartman; a sister, Arlene (Tom) Sadilek; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Hartman; and three siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
