Glenn Roberts

February 21st, 1947 to December 1st, 2018

Glenn Oliver Roberts, 71, of Emmett Township, died Saturday, December 1, 2018.

He was born February 21, 1947 in Detroit to Glenn G. and the late Ethel M. Roberts. He married Carolyn Dylong on May 25, 1985 in Royal Oak.

Glenn served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was employed with General Motors until his retirement. He was an active member of Colonial Woods Missionary Church where he was involved in Bible Study Fellowship and enjoyed going to Brown City Camp. He was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of going to Israel earlier this year with the Church. He was also an avid collector.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Todd Thompson; his father, Glenn G. Roberts; five siblings, Loretta (Joe) Wisniewski, Barbara (Joe Lubaway) Roberts, Roberta (James) Wagner, Monica (Steve) Dryden and Anita (Joe) Kelly; sisters-in-law, Diana LaCross and Donna Dylong; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Roger (Alice) Redick.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Wednesday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Brian Ake will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester.

Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice, Gideons International or Colonial Woods Missionary Church.
