Robert A "Bob" Emig

June 1st, 1939 to December 3rd, 2018

On December 3, 2018, Robert Arthur “Bob” Emig, 79, son of Arthur and Adeline Emig, went home to be with the Lord. He passed away surrounded by his loving family at Paramount Senior Living Home in Seven Fields, PA. Although he resided in Pennsylvania, his heart was always in St. Clair, Michigan where he spent the first part of his life.

Bob was actively involved in his High School, participating in basketball, baseball, football, tennis and even acting in the school plays. He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1957 and went on to college in Upper Michigan. Having a deep love for his country, Bob joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. After his service, he went to work briefly for Mueller Brass. Bob then began his lifelong career in foodservice going to work for Oneida Silversmiths Ltd. At Oneida, he held various positions moving up to the Executive Vice President of Buffalo China. In 1987, he started Robert Emig and Associates and began representing manufacturers to the foodservice industry. Having a strong work ethic and a perseverance to excel, Bob became a leader and was well respected within the industry. His life was a true American success story.

Robert is survived by his wife, Suellen Schneider Emig; children, Robert (Brenda) Emig, Chad (Charlotte) Emig, Cheryl (Victor) Job and Kelli (Michael Kelly) Emig; grandchildren, Rob, Jessica, Briana, Amanda, Daniel, Christen, Troy, Kylie, Jonathan, Mackenna, Evelyn and Faith; brother, Tom (Terri) Emig; sister, Cathy (Tom) Cassady; and many cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Emig, who passed away at childbirth; sister, Mary Bradshaw; and brother, Michael Emig.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, 912 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron, MI with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
