Maria Garska
Maria H. Garska, 84, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was born October 8, 1934 in Harlingen, Texas, to the late Jorge and Clemencia Aguilar.
Mrs. Garska loved her family and Sunday family dinners. She was a hard worker who enjoyed the view of the river, Bingo, gardening, her beautiful roses, cooking, sewing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by nine children, Gloria (John) Torrez, Maria Delia Vicencio (Eugene Garza), Guadalupe (Donna) Vicencio Jr., Norma Jean Vicencio, Cecilia (Jim) Coburn, Lidia Vicencio Torrez, Hilda (Karl) Livingston, Juanita Vicencio and fiancé, Charles Bauer, and Justin Eldred (Renee) Garska Jr.; a step-daughter, Annette Carrothers; 21 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; a brother, Juan Aguilar; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and friend of the family, Sandy Stokes.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Guadalupe Vicencio Sr. and Justin Eldred Garska Sr.; an infant daughter, Anita Vicencio; a step-son, Clifford Garska; son-in-law, Gilbert Lerma Torrez; two sisters, Maria Mejia and Guadalupe DeLeon; and three brothers, Santos Serna, Miguel Cantu and Manuel Salinas.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Gratiot. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, John Vicencio Torrez IV, Mario Vicencio, Lupe Vicencio III, Jose Sanchez, Casey Livingston, Corey Livingston, Judah Vicencio and Matthew Schreiber.
