Wilma Schmaltz
Wilma M. Schmaltz, 90, of Marysville, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born January 29, 1928 in New Haven to the late Arthur and Edna Harder. She married Ernest Schmaltz on June 5, 1948 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2010.
Wilma was an award-winning Avon representative for many years. She was a longtime active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Wilma enjoyed sewing, fishing, and she loved to travel.
She is survived by four children, Joyce Vincent, Thomas (Mary) Schmaltz, Jane (William) Schultz and Janet Wolfe; ten grandchildren, Nick Vincent, Adam (Erin) Vincent, Jeremy (Tina) Schmaltz, Angela (Alex) DeMuynck, Anne Marie (Brandon) Achatz, Andrew (Alicia) Habedank, Matthew (Michelle) Habedank, Timothy Habedank, Bradley Morrison and Kelly Wolfe; eleven great grandchildren, Shawn, Zachary, Brandon, Anthony, Alexander, Addison, Liam, Jeremy, Taylor, Eva and Madelyn. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Ernest; a granddaughter, Rebekah Habedank; two sons-in-law, Mike Vincent and Ray Wolfe.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Dr. Mark Madson will officiate.
Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery, New Haven. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
