Emily Lynn Knox
Emily Lynn Knox, 18, of Port Huron Township, died unexpectedly as a result of a car accident on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
She was born June 7, 2000 in Port Huron to Kevin and Jennifer Knox.
Emily graduated from Landmark Academy in June 2018, where she was varsity cheer captain and enjoyed playing soccer in the spring. She was a Criminal Justice student at Saginaw Valley State University. She was very passionate about becoming a police officer. She was a graduate of the first Port Huron Police Department Youth Academy in 2018 and proudly supported the Thin Blue Line movement.
She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Jennifer; a brother, Dyllin M. (Detective Bridget) Summerer; grandparents, Thomas (Patti) McBrien, Larry (Mary) Schwark, Thomas Kustowski and Harold “Rusty” Knox; her great grandmother, Donna Baldwin; uncles, Chad Knox (Jasmine Vanderwall) and Max (Christine) Kustowski; cousins, Karleigh Knox and Rory and Riley Kustowski; and many great aunts, great uncles and several cousins, along with countless friends.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 1-3 p.m. Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.
