Kenneth W DeVeny
Kenneth Wayne DeVeny, 59, of Wales Township, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
He was born November 1, 1959 in Port Huron to the late James and Marion DeVeny. He married Stacey Landschoot on September 10, 1983 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Port Huron.
Ken served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a heavy equipment mechanic and then was employed with B & L Industries. He loved spending time up north, fishing, hunting, golfing and fantasy football. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey; two children, Kenneth DeVeny and Courtney DeVeny (Josh Stevens); eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jason, Ethan, Eli, Alex, Andrew, Ezra and Kenneth Jr.; five siblings, Sue (Floyd) Hare, James (Maggie) DeVeny, Willie (Boo) DeVeny, Katie DeVeny and Anna (Bob) Jury; his parents-in-law, Dick and Marge Landschoot; sister-in-law, Penny (John) Walters; brother-in-law, Gregory Landschoot (Cherie DeLong); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in McGivney Banquet Center, Kimball Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Michigan.
